Wise Living is an exciting and rapidly growing business, which provides high-quality, purpose-built housing for the private rental market.
Our aim is to revolutionise the private rental sector by challenging existing standards, creating and nurturing communities and, ultimately driving better living standards for our customers and tenants with an ambition to deliver 2,000 new homes each year.
We offer our institutional investor clients a one stop service under one roof covering all parts of the process from site identification and development through to letting, management and maintenance of the properties.
Your life as a Partnerships Manager
With support from the Land & Partnership Director you will have responsibility for seeking and forging relationships with new Developer / House Builder partners that will work with us to secure new opportunities. You will play a key role in helping to deliver the Group’s ambitions to build on its reputation as an innovative and trusted development partner. You’ll quickly become a key member of the team working towards the ambition of delivering 2,000 new homes per year. What you’ll do
Identify potential house builder partners and introduce Wise Living, you’ll then be proactive in building and maintaining relationships with partners.
Deliver growth in accordance with regional business plan targets and client requirements
Identify land opportunities which will fit our Build to Rent model
Carry out initial rental appraisals and research on locations to assess their suitability for our product
Prepare development appraisals and work up bids for new opportunities
Forge strong relationships with house builder partners and work collaboratively to secure opportunities in line with the company growth plans
Engage with Local Authorities and other key stakeholders such as Homes England to educate them about our proposition
Work with external consultants to assess the suitability of sites
Negotiate commercial terms on new opportunities we’re acquiring
Prepare Initial and Full Business Cases for submission to a funder
Work closely with development, legal and finance colleagues to ensure all parties are kept up to date and play their part
Play an active role in communicating with investors and presenting new opportunities
Build experience and use this to support the regional partnerships team overall performance
Work collaboratively with all other development departments to ensure the development business plan is properly implemented and targets are achieved
Who we’re looking for.
We want to find a self-motivated, results-driven individual who uses their initiative to embrace every opportunity to maximise results. Someone who has;
Experience of working in development for a housing association, local authority or private developer
Broad experience of residential development and partnership working
A network of contacts with developers, house builders and local authorities
Commercial acumen, able to balance financial performance and service quality
To hold a relevant property or development focused degree with RICS an advantage
A proactive mindset with skills to quickly establish positive relationships with all stakeholders in a way that establishes confidence, credibility and trust acting as an ambassador of our brand
A resilient attitude with a strong work ethic and be able to think outside the box
Ability to forge and own new relationships with housebuilders & also enjoy the social / networking side of the industry
A ‘can do’ attitude and strong team player.
A Full UK Driving Licence
Eligibility to work in the UK and everything it takes to successfully complete pre-employment screening
