In the latest phase of our plan to build and manage thousands of rental homes across the UK, we’re pleased to announce that Mark Gratton has joined our team as Development and Land Manager!
In his new role, Mark specialises in working with regional and national developers looking to expand into the private rental sector.
Mark joins us with a strong background in the BTR and the wider property sector. He started his career as a Rural Chartered Surveyor, before working as a development surveyor at Rigby & Co in Derby. During that time, he advised a number of BTR investors, helping to identify sites and put together deals to get schemes off the ground.
As Development and Land manager, Mark’s responsibility is to forge strong relationships with regional and national developers to demonstrate how the Wise Living model can benefit them, help them grow and de-risk their developments whilst also creating strong communities.
Talking about his appointment, Mark said: “I’ve joined the Wise Living team at an exciting time. We have a really great pipeline of projects and with the recent £33 million round of funding from real estate investors ICG-Longbow, we have the funds in place to match our ambitions.
“The role is a great fit for me and a very exciting move. The team’s aspiration to revolutionise the sector by delivering high-quality rental properties throughout the UK that people are proud to call home was a big draw. I’m looking forward to strengthening existing relationships and forging new ones with housebuilders and developers that are keen to move into the growing BTR market, and work with us to create great places to live!”
Andy Deller, our Director, believes Mark’s experience is a valuable addition to the team:
“We have a clear plan in place to help developers de-risk their schemes and build more quality rental homes that communities right across the UK need. Mark couldn’t have come in at a better time to help us realise this goal. He has a real understanding of how developers work and how to get deals over the line.
“With his appointment and the arrival of Andy Pass as development director earlier this month, we have a really strong team and the funds in place to deliver on our ambitions.”
If you’re looking to expand into the private rental sector or keen to discuss land and development opportunities, please contact Mark.
